  • Products

Solvent-based cleaners remain popular in industrial applications due to their cleaning power; they remove resins, contaminants and greases. Some examples of strong cleaning solvents are acetone, methyl ethyl ketone and toluene among others. However, they’re highly corrosive substances which makes them effective but also increases the risk of health hazards. Most solvent-based cleaners contain VOCs (volatile organic compounds), all of which pose serious environmental and health concerns.

Working with solvent-based cleaners may appear cost-effective in the short term but can put your yourself, employees and family at serious risk of developing short-term and long-term health issues.

To protect our customer’s health, POLYMÈRES TECHNOLOGIES has formulated the POLY CLEANER™ which is a high performance, VOC free cleaner especially formulated to easily clean residues of CHILL EPOXY™ products.

With this unique formulation, you can clean effectively any spilling, or resin traces (epoxy, polyurethane and silicone) on your working surface, counter tops, floors, as well as on your dirty tools, spatulas or containers.

POLY CLEANER™ is an excellent alternative to solvent-based products such as alcohol, acetone, petroleum, white spirit or any harmful chemicals.

The POLY CLEANER™ is “THE” best alternative to solvent.

Description

CHILL PIGMENTS™ metallic powders are highly concentrated colour pigments. Completely compatible with all the products of our CHILL EPOXY line. Strong colours will be achieved by using them with our low viscosity epoxy solution.

It is recommended to start with 2-3% of the volume of epoxy to build the color.

Instructions Sheets

Characteristics

  • Mica Powder Pigments

  • Non-Toxic

  • Low Micron ( Weight)

  • Wide variety of colors

  • Available in 1oz or 3oz

  • Pigment is sold by weight

Applications

The CHILL PIGMENTS™ have been selected to be the lowest weight possible for a better resin dispersion. Our CHILL PIGMENTS™ mix easily with all our different systems. It is also possible to combine colors for a more effects.

It is recommended to start with a small amount of CHILL PIGMENTS™ in order to build your color and intensity. Adding too much pigments will only saturate your resin and the majority will sink.

Products

While most pigments available on the market are not selected specifically for mixing with epoxy resins, we select our pigments to be the lowest “MICRONS” possible for a better dispersion in our CHILL EPOXY™ casting systems.

No need to saturate the resin. Simply add a little and build your color. It is recommended to start with 2-3% of the volume of epoxy to build the color.

CHILL DEEP POUR is a 100% reactive epoxy system with very low viscosity and high ultraviolet resistance. The CHILL DEEP POUR makes it possible to cast river tables, from 60-100 liters, between to 2” and 2.5” thick, in a single casting depending on the form and mass, while maintaining its transparency and high precision.

Its long pot life makes it possible to mix several liters at a time and to pour a large quantity of resin during the production of the river table.

The CHILL DEEP POUR demolding time is 7 days at 22C/74F.

This system also meets the European RoHS standard.

Characteristics

  • High quality raw materials
  • Easy mixing ration of 2A/1B by volume
  • 7 days curing time

  • No cooling systems needed

  • Excellent UV resistance
  • Glossy Finish
  • Excellent impact resistance
  • Very low viscosity
  • Crystal clear transparency
  • Meet the RoHS standard
  • No withdrawal

Applications

Store CHILL DEEP POUR on a pallet (do not store directly on the floor) or shelf @ 22 °C with relative humidity less than 60%. A cold environment will increase the viscosity of each part A and B and a warmer environment will decrease it.

Before using CHILL DEEP POUR, be sure to mix each Part A and B. Minimize air formation as much as possible by gently mixing for a minimum of 10 minutes with a metal spatula. Don’t forget to scrape the sides and bottom.

Mix exactly 2 parts of A with 1 part of B by volume (or 100 A / 44 B by weight) and make sure to mix evenly, making sure to scrape the edges and the bottom of your container.

Since the pot life of the system is 1800 minutes @ 22 ° C for a mass of 200 grams, be sure not to mix more material that can be applied within the life time pot. It is important to note that the pot life time will be shortened in a warmer environment and will be lengthened in a cooler environment. The handling time will reflect the temperature level. Also, the greater the amount of resins to be mixed, the shorter the pot life time will be.

Chill Diamond Fast™

Description

CHILL DIAMOND™  is an epoxy system with 100% reactive materials with a very low viscosity and high resistance to ultraviolet.

CHILL DIAMOND FAST™  is ideal to fill small cracks, voids and knots. It can also be use to cast small transparent objects or colored jewels such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, hairpins, cufflinks and others.

Its pot life allows a fast handling time, less than 12 hours. His very low viscosity allows a maximum infiltration of the interstices in the moulds or the different substrates on which CHILL DIAMOND™  is poured.

This system also meets the European RoHS standard.

Characteristics

  • Crystal clear transparency
  •  24 minutes of pot life

  • 100% solid, without VOC
  • Excellent heat resistance

  • Very low viscosity
  • Easy mixing ration of 2A/1B by volume
  • Excellent UV resistance
  • Glossy Finish
  • High quality raw materials
  • No withdrawal
  • Excellent impact resistance

Applications

Store CHILL DIAMOND FAST™  on a pallet (do not store directly on the floor) or shelf @ 22C/72F with relative humidity less than 60%. A cold environment will increase the viscosity of each part A and B and a warmer environment will decrease it.

Before using CHILL DIAMOND FAST™ , be sure to mix each Part A (RESIN) and B (HARDENER).

Minimize air formation as much as possible by gently mixing for a minimum of 8 to 10 minutes with a metal spatula.

Mix exactly 2 parts of A with 1 part of B by volume (or 100 A / 42 B by weight) and make sure to mix evenly, making sure to scrape the edges and the bottom of your container.

Since the pot life of the system is 24 minutes @ 22 ° C for a mass of 200 grams, be sure not to mix more material that can be applied within the life time pot. It is important to note that the pot life time will be shortened in a warmer environment and will be lengthened in a cooler environment. The handling time will reflect the temperature level. Also, the greater the amount of resins to be mixed, the shorter the pot life time will be.

Uncured material can be easily cleaned using isopropyl alcohol or T-901 solvent.

THE CHILL DIAMOND FAST™ …WHY FAST???

Very simple…Because this system is our most reactive to this date. With a Pot life of 24 minutes at 72F and a Ratio of 2:1 by volume, this fast setting epoxy is ideal for filling small cracks, voids and knots on wooden surfaces.

Who wants to wait 3 days when filling small cracks or casting small mass anyway? Well, The DIAMOND FAST ™ will cure in less than 12-24 hours depending on the mass.

Also ideal for the rapid production and release of small casting such as jewelry or other artistic and industrial pieces. It is also commonly use to seal live edge prior to pour a river table.
